Jane (Nawoj) Klamerus, 96 years, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at Pacifica Senior Living in Encinitas, CA. She experienced a fun day playing balloon volleyball in the afternoon, had a typical dinner in the dining room, watched the evening movie in the living room and then was escorted to her bedroom by the caregiver. On the way, she fainted and shortly thereafter passed.

Jane loved java chip ice cream, kosher pickles, kielbasa, spending time with her grandchildren, reading James Patterson novels and watching the Hallmark channel. She had been an amazing seamstress, cook and baker (Polish dishes like pierogi, gołąbki, kolacki). Jane spent many years taking care of both her mother and her husband so when the time came for Jane to be taken care of her daughter Karen was there.

Jane is survived by her son Kenneth (Jean) Klamerus and her daughter Karen Klamerus; her grandsons Daniel Klamerus, Joseph Klamerus, Peter Zeller, Lukus Zeller and Jakab Zeller.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents John and Katherine Nawoj and her brothers Joseph and Edward Nawoj.

No formal service is planned. Cremation is through Cremation Services, Inc. (www.csicremationandburial.com). Jane would not want us to be sad but rather would glow when smiles were around. So in her honor, do something simple that would put a smile on your face and thus hers: indulge in a bowl of ice cream, fly a big red balloon, put one special flower in a vase in your bathroom, eat an entire chocolate/nut bar, hum while cuddling a child, etc. and say out loud, “Cheers to you, Jane. Thank you for being part of my life”.
